Deepening Our Connection
with Nature
Have you ever felt a profound sense of peace while walking through the woodlands?
Or experienced the joy of nurturing a plant from seed to bloom?
These moments remind us of our deep, innate connection to the natural world.
We are nature
Our roots stretch back to ancient forests, a legacy etched in our DNA.
This connection is our source of resilience and joy.
While some communities still live as earth guardians, most of us do not live close to a forest.
But nature calls to us all.
It whispers in the rustle of urban trees and sings in the bloom of a windowsill plant.
Every day offers a chance to reconnect.
Plant a seed.
Breathe deeply in a park.
Join a community garden.
These small acts of Earth guardianship ripple outward, nurturing both our planet and our souls. In rediscovering nature, we find ourselves.
A Day in Harmony
with Nature
But how do we bring this connection into our daily lives?
As morning light filters through your curtains, take a deep breath. That air, filled with oxygen from plants, is your first exchange with the natural world today.
Moving through your morning, notice nature's subtle presence. The grain of your wooden table. The plant on your windowsill reaching for the sun. As you prepare your morning drink, observe the steam rising like mist over a lake, connecting you to the water cycle that nourishes all of life.
As you step outside, let your senses awaken. Feel the breeze on your skin. Listen for birdsong amidst the urban soundscape. These moments of awareness root your yoga practice in the living world.
During your lunch break, seek out a green space. Whether it's a grand park or a tiny urban garden, take a mindful walk. Feel the support of the earth beneath your feet, and a sense of space above that rises to the cosmos.
As evening falls, bring nature into your wind-down routine. Light a candle made from beeswax. Practice a gentle yoga flow, your movements flowing like water. End with a meditation, imagining yourself as a tree – stable, yet flexible.
Before sleep, reflect on your day. How did nature touch your life? What new connections did you discover?
This daily practice of awareness is the heart of Yoga Rewild. It reminds us that we are not separate from nature – we are nature.
Join us for a class, ceremony or retreat to deepen this remembrance, and let's grow our connection together.
Giving back
to Nature
Our relationship with nature is reciprocal. As we receive nourishment from the Earth, we also have the opportunity to give back. Here's how our community is making a difference:
-
The Yoga Rewild community has contributed to planting over 10,000 trees worldwide. Imagine the forests growing from these seeds of intention!
-
We support projects that restore and protect diverse ecosystems. Every class and event you attend contributes to these efforts.
-
Join us for tree planting days in partnership with Protect Earth. There's something magical about getting your hands in the soil and knowing you're part of creating new life.
-
Explore the Bristol Tree Forum's map of local trees. Understanding our urban forest helps us appreciate and protect the nature right on our doorstep.
Want to get more involved? Consider donating directly to our Ecologi forest.
Your contribution not only helps grow forests but also earns you free classes.
Building Community
We are stronger together. Our shared love for nature and yoga creates a powerful community of Earth stewards. Here's how you can be part of this movement:
-
Sign up for our mailing list or WhatsApp group to connect with like-minded individuals and stay updated on our activities.

Attend our classes, events, or retreats. Each gathering is an opportunity to deepen your practice and your connection with nature and community.
